Content Overview

Sargassum seaweed is too rich in fiber. To reduce the negative impact of these invasive species on the marine ecosystem, on human health and on the economy, we have considered their uses as thermal and acoustic insulation in the construction of buildings.

Construction materials with algae fibers have also proven their resistance against mold and bacterial agglomerations which can occur in the event of intense humidity in humid areas.

The elastic power of sargassum algae fibers also makes it possible to have resistant constructions against earthquakes which can occur suddenly in a given region.
